update manager notification slow closing

Binary package hint: update-manager

After doing an update (or checking for an update) update manager takes up to a minute to remove itself from the notification area after it has been closed. the notification icon states a package manger is being run even though one is not. you can still run apt-get or click the icon and launch update manager
