lunar ppc64le build failure

Bug Description

As seen in [0], the xdp-tools build fails on ppc64le. Interestingly it does not fail on any other architecture.

In Debian, the ppc64le (or ppc64el as they have chosen to call it), build is successful [1].

It may appear that differences in defaults for compiler among the architectures in Ubuntu is exposing the failure.

There also appears to be a difference in compiler defaults between Debian and Ubuntu, see attached diffs.

Patch matches upstream, references in there are fine, changelog is good as well.
Test builds also look good now.
Small and IMHO ok, sponsoring.
