You have to rename iceweasel-scrapbook.{dirs,install,links} to firefox-scrapbook.{dirs,install,links} for your fix to work.

Also, I'm not sure firefox-scrapbook is the preferred name, since we have also mozilla-* and mozilla-firefox-*
Alexander, any suggestions?

Right, sorry. I'm attaching a new debdiff...

About the package name, it seems to me that extensions that are only for Firefox start with "firefox-", and those that work with many Mozilla products with "mozilla-". Please correct me if I'm wrong.

thanks siegfried for the patch. Here my comments; please adapt this accordingly:

1. use just scrapbook as binary package name (adding mozilla- icesomething- or whatever in front doesn't make sense in ubuntu and it doesn't make sense in debian either)

2. don't use /usr/share/mozilla-extensions/scapbook, but just /usr/share/scrapbook/

3. link to all suitable applications (even the one that just debian has). at least:

  /usr/lib/iceweasel/extensions
  /usr/lib/firefox/extensions

4. please check whether it works with firefox 3. if so link it into
  /usr/lib/firefox-addons/extensions

5. if it doesn't work yet with firefox 3 check whether there is a new upstream release that supports for firefox 3 yet.

Thanks,
 - Alexander

Sorry for not working on this before.

Does it look good now? If so, I'll merge it with the new 1.3.2.5-2 revision in Debian and upload. Thanks.

This bug was fixed in the package scrapbook - 1.3.2.5-2ubuntu1

---------------
scrapbook (1.3.2.5-2ubuntu1) hardy; urgency=low

  * debian/control:
     - Rename binary package to "scrapbook" (LP: #184115).
     - Change "Iceweasel" to "Firefox" in the short description.
     - Add firefox as an alternative dependency to iceweasel.
     - Add a transitional package (iceweasel-scrapbook -> scrapbook),
       and a Conflicts to scrapbook against older iceweasel-scrapbook
       installations.
     - Modify Maintainer value to match the DebianMaintainerField
       specification.
  * Remove the "iceweasel-scrapbook." prefix from file names.
  * Change paths in debian/install, debian/links and debian/dirs.
