Just a note that we should add jack-meter to the ISO for the new development release.

Actually, according to the referenced message title, it is probably jack-mixer we are after. It is GTK. Jackmeter is a console/terminal only application.
It's life might be short lived though, as there is no upstream activity for a long time, and it will probably soon need updating to the latest python-
