Bug Description

[Impact]
This release contains both bug-fixes and new features and we would like to
make sure all of our supported customers have access to these improvements.

See the changelog entry below for a full list of changes and bugs.

[Test Case]
The following development and SRU process was followed:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/walinuxagentUpdates

The Microsoft Azure Linux Agent team will execute their testsuite, which
includes extension testing , against the walinuxagent that is in -proposed. A successful run will be required before the proposed walinuxagent can be let into -updates.

The CPC team will be in charge of attaching a summary of testing to the bug. CPC team members will not mark ‘verification-done’ until this has happened.

During testing I am seeing some strange behavior on Azure instances, even with the old walinuxagent. This makes testing a bit harder. Need to first wait for someone to clear this out for me - since it seems our pre-SRU test case doesn't seem to be valid anymore.

Please could you confirm:

1) Explicitly which package versions were actually tested.

2) What suites of tests were run.

This is my reading of what "attaching a summary of testing to the bug" means from your SRU exception documentation. It might be worth getting the exception changed to make this more explicit (whether I have misunderstood or not).

Also:

3) That the tests actually passed.

The list of package versions tested:

xenial: 2.2.14-0ubuntu1~16.04.1
trusty: 2.2.14-0ubuntu1~14.04.1
yakkety: 2.2.14-0ubuntu1~16.10.1
zesty: 2.2.14-0ubuntu1~17.04.1

The testing for a new walinuxagent package is the same suite of tests that are executed on a daily azure cloud image. These suites include tests for:
 - cloud-init
 - the cloud-init data source
 - the apt archive sources
 - a running waagent
 - dpkg-reconfigure of walinuxagent
 - lxd

The same test suites were executed for all releases across a range of Azure instance sizes. All tests passed.
