It has been about a week and this hasn't shown up in errors.ubuntu.com. More importantly, it never showed up in Ubuntu 17.04 which gives me good reason to believe that this particular crash bug has been fixed in a newer 3.22 release.

(I meant to say it didn't show up in 17.04 with a version newer than 3.22.3.)

This bug was fixed in the package evolution - 3.22.6-0ubuntu0.1
