Bug Description

Starting with the 20151210 build, ubuntu desktop xenial amd64 images have been failing automated iso testing. The installation is no longer completing.

The log from the last good run is here:
http://paste.ubuntu.com/14132682/
The log from the first failure is here:
http://paste.ubuntu.com/14132687/

As the logs differ significantly, I am investigating whether changes may have occurred in the lab setup as part of the dissolution of the CI team.

I'm also tracking a problem installing current images here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/utah/+bug/1528344
I have filed it against utah while I investigate, but it may be a problem with d-i or ubiquity. It seems that the previously acceptable preseed no long completes the unattended installation.

I'm seeing this on server as well.

I've just uploaded this, which may help (will also require a ubiquity upload for desktop; I'll do that a bit later):

grub-installer (1.128ubuntu2) xenial; urgency=medium

  * If grub-installer/choose_bootdev only has one non-manual choice, default
to that and reduce question priority to low. May fix LP: #1528360.

Excellent, thanks! I'll check the results once new images are published.

Let me know if I should file a separate bug for this, but now I'm getting stuck on di-partman/unmount on server installs. I can work around it with a preseed, but I don't think that was previously required.
