Version 10.0.0 of open-vm-tools has been released. It is avaliable at:

This should solve the inability to access shared folders because the kernel module can no more be compiled

While bug #1482777 is being worked ([MIR] open-vm-tools 9.10.2 build dependencies: xml-security-c and xerces-c) we will build 10.0 without SAML-based guest authentication.
