Bug Description

The ruby-qpid package was built for Ruby 1.8, which is not available in trusty. I managed to build a version that works with 1.9 simply by replacing "ruby1.9" with just "ruby" in debian/control, so this should be an easy fix.

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System -> About Ubuntu

$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
Release: 14.04

2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy pkgname' or by checking in Software Center

$ apt-cache policy ruby-qpid
ruby-qpid:
  Installed: 0.16-7ubuntu5
  Candidate: 0.16-7ubuntu5
  Version table:
 *** 0.16-7ubuntu5 0
        500 http://mirror.globo.com/ubuntu/archive/ trusty/universe amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

3) What you expected to happen

Package should be built for existing ruby versions in trusty.

4) What happened instead

Package is built for ruby 1.8:

$ dpkg -L ruby-qpid
/.
/usr
/usr/share
/usr/share/doc
/usr/share/doc/ruby-qpid
/usr/share/doc/ruby-qpid/copyright
/usr/lib
/usr/lib/ruby
/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby
/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/1.8
/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/1.8/x86_64-linux
/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/1.8/x86_64-linux/qmfengine.so
/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/1.8/x86_64-linux/cqmf2.so
/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/1.8/x86_64-linux/cqpid.so
/usr/share/doc/ruby-qpid/changelog.Debian.gz

Hello Andre, or anyone else affected,

Accepted qpid-cpp into trusty-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qpid-cpp/0.16-7ubuntu5.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance!
