slash key '/' no longer opens the find box

sorry, I remember that it was mentioned in another bug but not that it was not resolved yet, reopening that one, thanks for filing a new report!

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

That issue seems to be fixed in the 14.10 evince version

This bug still exists in 14.04 and is extremely annoying.

As a vim user that uses the / for every search in every app this is a huge regression.

The h,j,k,l keys mentioned in another bug works, but the / mentioned in this bug was never fixed in 14.04. Fixing it in 14.10 does not help anybody running LTS.

The package evince was accepted into trusty-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/3.10.3-0ubuntu10.2, and in the -proposed repository.

A Trusty task should be opened for this bug to properly track its status.

The '/' key opens the search menu for me with evince 3.10.3-0ubuntu10.2 from trusty-proposed.

Tested and working on Trusty with evince 3.10.3-0ubuntu10.2
