Hi! Thanks for preparing a debdiff. However, I don't see the Debian changes in your patch -- all I see are the Ubuntu changes from 1.6.18-1ubuntu1.

The patch attached to my first comment applies to the Debian 1.6.18-1.1 version.
The patch attached to this comment applies to the previous ubuntu version (1.6.18-1ubuntu1) so includes also the Debian changes from 1.6.18-1 to 1.6.18-1.1.

eggdrop (1.6.18-1.1ubuntu1) gutsy; urgency=low

  * Merge from Debian unstable (LP: #132222). Remaining Ubuntu changes:
    - Added SSL patch from
      http://www.egghelp.org/files/patches/eggdrop-1.6.18-ssl.patch.gz
       debian/rules: Added check for SSL.
       debian/control: Added libssl-dev, updated Maintainer field
