Bug Description
This is already fixed via Debian in Trusty:
check (0.9.10-6) unstable; urgency=low
* add -pthread to both --libs and --cflags of check.pc (sigh)
-- Robert Lemmen <email address hidden> Mon, 25 Nov 2013 20:10:47 +0000
This causes incorrect linking in saucy. See https:/
From the build logs:
Saucy:
configure: Summary of miscellaneous features
check : -lcheck_pic -lrt -lm
Trusty:
configure: Summary of miscellaneous features
check : -pthread -lcheck_pic -lrt -lm
The fix is to SRU the -6 change into Saucy.
[Impact]
* Some packages will fail to build. Since not all packages were rebuilt after the new (broken) check version landed during Saucy development, there may be, in addition to PPA packages like the example, archive packages when cannot be built for security updates, SRU, etc.
[Test Case]
* See the above build log for reproduction.
* Once the new check package is in -proposed, i'll add -proposed to the PPA and retry. If it builds, win.
[Regression Potential]
* Regression potential is negligible.

I added the fixed package to that PPA and retried one build. It worked. I'll remove it now so that the same can be done with the package I just uploaded for -proposed.
