Camera freezes after taking photo on Nexus 4

Bug Description

Using the MWC build (https://wiki.canonical.com/JohnMcAleely/MWCDemoNotes), taking pictures with the camera app on Nexus 4 seems unreliable.

after an unpredictable (but small < 5) number of pictures, the camera app will freeze on captured image.

Navigating to the app scope, the app can be killed and will then function correctly.

Log from /home/phablet/.cache/upstart attached.

I can confirm the bug, and it's indeed related with the 4.4.2 based drivers.

I can confirm the bug on the 14.04 r209 image. It seems to freeze more readily when music is playing in the background (via the music-app). This might be caused by some conflict between the music-app playing sound and the shutter sound of the camera trying to utilize the bus.
