Who's that Sm8 character in LOTR?

Binary package hint: gcal

Hi, fellows of the Quest!

I found that the file ``/usr/share/gcal/lotr`` contains the following line::

  00001205 Death of Sm8 (LOTR)

I can't really recall any character i Tolkien's books called Sm8. Oh wait, August (aug) is the eighth month of the year. Maybe the problem is in that ``/usr/share/gcal/scripts/ct2gcal.pl`` script which generated the previous file. I'm not trained in the lore of Perl runes, so I'm afraid I can not offer a solution to this problem, but I guess that when the solution is in place, the line should read::

  00001205 Death of Smaug (LOTR)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is still present, even in Karmic.

This bug was fixed in the package gcal - 3.01.1-10
