Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor

gnome-system-monitor displays all processes as 0% CPU even when under a load of 3.31, 2.85, 1.91.

This appears when selecting "Active Processes" and "My Processes". gnome-system-monitor is correct when displaying "All Processes".

2.6.22-7-generic

This is a fresh install of Gusty (not an upgrade) and is up to date as of 2007-07-09 00:00:00 EST

Just a note: One my other Gusty machine, one with a Intel Pentium 4 640 instead of the AMD Athlon 1100+ I posted above, it has the same problem. So if it helps, it doesn't look CPU related.

I have this problem in Hardy, which has gnome-system-monitor 2.22.0. If this was fixed in 2.19.x then why is it still an issue?

My apologies, this seems to work ok. I think my issue was that it seems to take a moment to gather CPU usage information.

For the first few seconds, all processes show as zero, but they eventually do show real percentages.
