Bug Description

Muon has a new release which contains a bunch of bug fixes that we should get into Saucy

[Impact]
* Launch muon-installer
* muon-installer crashes after a few seconds
* Launch muon-updater
* Users cannot uncheck packages

[Test Case]
* Install upgrade
* Launch muon-installer
* muon-installer shouldn't crash
* Launch muon-updater
* Uncheck packages to upgrade
* Upgrade packages, make sure only the checked packages are upgraded

[Regression Potential]
* Low, release only has bug fixes, all features are already in Saucy

Hello Rohan, or anyone else affected,

Accepted into saucy-proposed. The package will build now and be available in a few hours in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance!

This upgrade seems to fix the issues highlighted but other issues remain.

I can verify that muon-installer no longer crashes on startup. However it does now crash when installing software with a backtrace pointing at QApt.

I can verify that muon-upgrader can select and de-select the packages to upgrade. However it often claims there are no upgrades and I have had it stuck on loading the list of upgrades.

I think this fix should be accepted in but there is more to do.
