Bug Description

First of all, it looks like the first step should be

1. ./autogen.sh

Additionally, ../configure looks like it has one dot too many.

sorry. my instructions are for using the release tarball I put out. That one has the configure already done; e.g. they are not about not how to create he base dev skeleton from trunk checkout.

Maybe I will add something :).
