Bug Description

Binary package hint: xubuntu-desktop

xubuntu-desktop conflicts with gnustep.

This is due to terminal.app conflicting with xfce4-terminal

Hi,

Thanks for your bug report.
terminal.app and xfce4-terminal both ships /usr/bin/Terminal, so this conflict is normal.

A nice fix would be to use alternatives.

  * debian/control: add versioned conflict on xfce-terminal, since it no longer
    ships /usr/bin/Terminal. (LP: #119934)

  * debian/control: drop terminal.app conflict, since this package no longer
    ships /usr/bin/Terminal. (LP: #119934)

terminal.app (0.9.4+cvs20051125-3ubuntu1) hardy; urgency=low

  * Merge from Debian unstable, remaining Ubuntu changes:
    - Adhere to DebianMaintainerField
    - debian/control: add versioned conflict on xfce-terminal, since it no longer
      ships /usr/bin/Terminal. (LP: #119934).
  * debian/control: bump the conflict on xfce4-terminal to (<< 0.2.6-5ubuntu1),
    since previous versions ship Terminal.desktop too.

terminal.app (0.9.4+cvs20051125-3) unstable; urgency=low

  * GNUstep transition.
    + Updated debian/rules.
    + Updated debian/dirs.
  * Menu transition: Moved from XShells to Applications/Terminal Emulators.
  * Added a desktop file.
