Bug Description

The version uploaded in saucy is very old; 575, which was released in April 2012. The latest version should be uploaded to Debian sid/unstable and then to Ubuntu.

The development seems very active: http://sourceforge.net/projects/unetbootin/files/UNetbootin/

There is a PPA set up by the developer: http://launchpad.net/~gezakovacs/+archive/ppa

Last activity of unetbootin in Debian was on 2012-06-05 http://packages.qa.debian.org/u/unetbootin.html. Maybe the maintainer is no longer interested in the package?

Btw, I'm the upstream developer (and maintain that PPA you linked to). Keep me updated on the MIA-debian-developer situation, if needed I'd be perfectly happy to take over maintenance in debian... (I used to maintain the CoffeeScript packaging, ie http://<email address hidden> , so I'm familiar with the Debian development process).
