canon i450 not in list

is this so hard to fix? I can't find a upstream place to report this.

Sorry for not taking care of this in time. I will talk to the debian package
maintainer about it.

I build a package with a i450 driver (based on the BJC-7100 driver) and uploaded
it to:

http://people.ubuntu.com/~mvo/foomatic/

 Can you please verify that it works with the printer?

Thank you for your work Michael. But it seems that this printer is still not listed in the latest dapper :-(

A i450 description based heavily on the BJC-7100. I haven't tested it myself because I don't have this model.

Ubuntu uses the Foomatic database from www.linuxprinting.org.
If you can get your printer listed to www.linuxprinting.org it will automatically be included in the next Ubuntu release (edgy or edgy+1).
You should fill out the new printer form: http://www.linuxprinting.org/edit_printer.cgi?newentry=1 to let the people at www.linuxprinting.org know that your printer works with the bjc800 driver. As an owner of this printer you are one of the few people who can provide the necessary information.

I still do not see this driver in the list in Feisty. But it's on this page: http://www.linuxprinting.org/printer_list.cgi .

I don't have this printer but I confirm that it's still not in the list in intrepid.

    - openprinting-ppds-extra package with PPDs from Ricoh family and OEM
      and non-English PPDs from Kyocera
    - Linked PPD files with Foomatic database, so that links in the Foomatic
      XML files keep working.
    - Removed link into /usr/share/cups/model, it makes PPDs appearing
      twice.
    - debian/patches/bjc600-bjc800.patch: Removed workaround for Ghostscript
      crashing when feeding bjc600/bjc800 drivers with PDF. The Ghostscript
      shipped by Ubuntu is fixed.
    - foomatic-filters-ppds discontinued upstream, updated debian/control
      appropriately.
    - foomatic-db does not make sense without foomatic-db-engine and
      foomatic-filters, made the Recommends: a Depends:.
