the sox package does not support the CAF file format, although i have all libsox-fmt packages installed. compiling from sources, i can process CAF files, though

Confirmed in 14.1.1-1. It seems that the package does not install sndfile’s sub-formats. This should be fixed easily, I’ll prepare a patch and send it to Pascal.

    - Removed duplicate section field for sox. Fixes lintian warning.
    - Added Build-Dep on autotools-dev for dh_autotools_dev.
  * [debian/rules]:
    - Use dh_autotools_dev to update the outdated autotools helper files.
      Fixes lintian warning.
