Bug Description

XChat-GNOME keeps crashing when I'm highlighted with the attached stacktrace.

reassigning to indicator-messages, assuming the issue is there since xchat and xchat-indicator didn't change since quantal but we go an indicator-messages 12.10.6daily12.11.21.1-0ubuntu1 update today in raring

So we should really pass as many arguments into g_variant_get as the format string dictates.

Strangely enough, this crash never happened on my system, even though I use xchat-gnome daily (I'm on x86_64 though). The attached branch most likely fixes the issue.
