After a preseeded installation the file /etc/apt/sources.list only contains cdrom entries.

Hmm. I didn't see this in the manual test installation I did when comparing all files between old and new style.

I did a manual installation and http entries are present in sources.list. It seems to affect only preseeded installations.

This bug was fixed in the package pkgsel - 0.36ubuntu3

  * Drop pkgsel/live-enable again; check /cdrom/.disk/cd_type instead to
    find out whether the image has more than a squashfs (LP: #1028301).
