Bug Description

i'm cann't install complete php5-mysqlnd and delete package i'm cann't too. I'm have error with every update and install. I'm cann't install any package.
i'm install nginx 1.2.x, apache httpd 2.2.x (why i cann't find 2.4.x in standard repository?), php 5.4.x, mysql 5.5.x (why i cann't find MariaDB in standard repository?).

Hello! Thank you for the bug report! This is fixed in Debian's git repository, see the linked Debian bug report for the fix. With Debian frozen we may have to manually merge the fix in for quantal.

Hi,

Idem with Ubuntu 12.04, mysqlnd extension does ont appears in phpinfo().

What I've done:
Ubuntu 12.04 Server 64 bits (french tongue)
apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade
apt-get install gnome-desktop
tasksel: chosen LAMP
added your ppa
Installed php5-mysqlnd 5.4.4 from ubuntu's software center

I surely missed the same merror message encountered by CSRedHat member.

One PHP 5.4 interesting new feature is the mysqlnd extension enabled by default. May you see to fix this soon, please :'-(

  * Merge from Debian unstable. (LP: #1014044) (LP: #1024355)
    Remaining changes:
    - d/rules: Simplify apache config settings since we never build
      interbase or firebird.
    - debian/rules: export DEB_HOST_MULTIARCH properly.
    - Add build-dependency on lemon, which we now need.
    - Dropped firebird2.1-dev, libc-client-dev, libmcrypt-dev as it is in universe.
    - Dropped libcurl-dev not in the archive.
    - debian/control: replace build-depends on mysql-server with
      mysql-server-core-5.5 and mysql-client-5.5 to avoid upstart and
      mysql-server-5.5 postinst confusion with starting up multiple
      mysqlds listening on the same port.

    - Dropped libonig-dev and libqgdbm since its in universe. (libonig MIR

      * Dropped building of mcrypt, imap, and interbase.
      * Install apport hook for php5.
      * stop mysql instance on clean just in case we failed in tests
