Bug Description

I did a manual merge from Debian unstable. Attached are debdiffs between old Ubuntu package and the merge and the current Debian package and the merge. Asking for review and sponsoring the upload into Quantal. Thanks.

Why do you target quantal-proposed instead of quantal?

Ok, I think I misunderstood the proposed discussions I was seeing. Somehow I thought that the decision was to use proposed even in development releases to get things build and then copy them over to the release pocket. And I did it that way a few times without being asked about it. But now asking someone different it seems that never was really decided. So it should be quantal instead of quantal-proposed.

I did some modifications and uploaded your merge to quantal:
* debian/changelog: Write Debian with starting capital letter.
* debian/changelog: Close this bug in the changelog.
* Port Ubuntu patch ubuntu-ppc-__lshrdi3-ftbs.patch from dpatch to quilt and refresh it.

This bug was fixed in the package kexec-tools - 1:2.0.3-1ubuntu1

---------------
kexec-tools (1:2.0.3-1ubuntu1) quantal; urgency=low

  * Merge from Debian (LP: #1020965); remaining changes:
    - Fix FTBFS on powerpc due to duplicate defnition of __lshrdi3.
    - Only run update-grub if /boot/grub/grub.cfg exists, fixing installation
      in chroots.
    - Run aclocal during build; build-dep on automake1.9.
    - Add and install kdump init script and initramfs snippet; depend on
      initramfs-tools and call the update-initramfs trigger. Also call
      update-grub after update-initramfs trigger.
    - Default to not kexecing a kernel on boot in the automatically
      generated conffile.
    - Only install the kdump initramfs script and depend on makedumpfile on
      architectures that makedumpfile supports.

kexec-tools (1:2.0.3-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * New upstream release
  * Switched to dpkg-source 3.0 (quilt) format
  * Updated kexec and coldreboot man pages (closes: Bug#653197)
  * Added armhf architecture (closes: Bug#645652)
