From build log https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnomeradio/1.8-2ubuntu2/+build/3569989/+files/buildlog_ubuntu-quantal-i386.gnomeradio_1.8-2ubuntu2_BUILDING.txt.gz it seems that gnomeradio use GLib deprecated thread API.

g_thread_init has been deprecated since version 2.32 and should not be used in newly-written code. This function is no longer necessary. The GLib threading system is automatically initialized at the start of program.
