This is because libkdeinit4_nepomukserver.so is missing from the 4.8.80 build of kdepim-runtime.

Oh, is that where the file goes? I based my comment on the output of this:

steve@t520:~$ apt-file search nepomukserver.so
kde-runtime: /usr/lib/kde4/libkdeinit/libkdeinit4_nepomukserver.so
kde-runtime-dbg: /usr/lib/debug/usr/lib/kde4/libkdeinit/libkdeinit4_nepomukserver.so

Maybe I shouldn't trust apt-file...

Nepomuk moved from kde-runtime to nepomuk-core. You have apt-file report from Contents-amd64.gz dated from 26. April, so thats why it shows kde-runtime ;)

Oh. Well, now I see what's going on. Apt-file says:

Ignoring source without Contents File:
  http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/backports/ubuntu/dists/precise/Contents-amd64.gz

...I missed that!

The same problem in Kubuntu 12.04 64bit after upgrade to KDE 4.8.80. Is there any fix available?
