approving and UNBLOCKing because:
- the change is not visible to common mortal
- we are still waiting on an unity branch, so the version in the ppa is not the last one alraedy.

Another branch proposed by a contributor replaced dash_noise.png with a 14k png (instead of 30k) which was rejected because it softened the noise. The smaller png supposedly speeds up blur+scrolling tremendously on lower end graphics. This should be revisited - at the very least clarified.
