Don't call ifup from udev hook, instead just create the bridge and let
upstart bring it up. Fixes hang at boot time. (LP: #1003656) - 22. By Colin Watson
-
Extend the definition of 'bridge_ports all' to support biosdevname
interface names out of the box (LP: #948546). - 20. By Stéphane Graber
-
Now that a bridge can be created by a udev hook and ifupdown checks
return codes from the scripts, make sure to properly deal with an
already existing bridge. - 18. By Stéphane Graber
-
If the interface doesn't exist and /etc/network/
if-pre- up.d/vlan exists, the call the vlan pre-up script to try and configure a vlan interface. - 16. By Steve Langasek

* Merge from Debian unstable (LP: #483427, LP: #377474). Remaining changes:
- Add an upstart job which triggers on each net-device-added event, to
see whether we need to add this to a bridge.
* Changes merged in Debian:
- debian/rules, debian/bridge- utils.sh, debian/dirs, debian/ifupdown.sh:
factor out the parsing of bridge_ports into a reusable shell library.
* Replace the upstart job with a udev rule instead; thanks to Manty for
the suggestion. - 15. By Steve Langasek

bridge-
utils.bridge- network- interface. upstart: adjust the matching so that
bridges pointed at vlans on a physical interface are started when the
physical interface is up, since there's no udev event for the vlan.
