It seems the mocking infrastructure is not able to handle parameters, however,
a test is still failing.

Added a specific error message to SSL configuration errors.

In many cases, users setting up LDS for the first time experience problems with
"connecting" to the server because they are using a self-signed certificate.

This should make these errors more obvious, by displaying a relevant error
message instead of a generic one.

This branch fixes the release upgrader to ask for a session ID before
attempting to send a message.

Unfortunately the test setUp was getting it by hand ignoring that real
code would not do the same.
