* Moved the log.cpp/h to cppthread.
* Swapped the dependencies (cppthread <- advgetopt).
* Use the cppthread::mutex class.
* Cleaned up the exceptions using the libexcept macros.
* Properly remove quotes of configuration file values.
* Added/updated tests accordingly.
* Fixed the CMakeLists.txt to verify availability of Catch2.
* Many overall clean ups.
