Snap C++ CMS

Powerful website stack.

The backend services are written in C++ and work in a cluster of _any_ size.

The front end is written in JavaScript and works on all modern browsers.

Note: it is currently in a heavy development cycle. It does not work. However, most of the `contrib` packages are fully functional.

To use, we recommend you first test with the binary version. Later you can test with the source. It takes time to understand how things work. It is a very large project (already over 9,000 source files, although there is some duplication and it is morphing as we change strategy on how things work).

The following does not work anymore, but it should get back on track at some point:

# apt-add-repository ppa:snapcpp/ppa
# apt-get update
# apt-get install snapmanagercgi

The snapmanager is then accessible on your server as https://www.example.com/snapmanager

Everything can be installed from the Snap! Manager interface.

For installations on your software development system, you want to start by cloning snapcpp from https://github.com/m2osw/snapcpp -- make sure to clone recursively:

# git clone --recursive ssh://github.com/m2osw/snapcpp.git snapcpp

**WARNING:** the recursive cloning does NOT work unless you use your github account. Once you get the submodules, please verify that it is not saying "HEAD-DETACHED". If it does, look at the following page to fix the problem: https://linux.m2osw.com/creating-new-git-repository
