  Port the old config files by sourcing them and extracting the relevant
  variables.

  Notably, this leaves the YAML in a rather fugly state: python-yaml's unparser
  doesn't unparse things in a very regular fashion (sometimes it uses yaml
  nesting or list, sometimes it just sticks dict or list literals in places),
  although it can parse the result just fine. Additionally, parse/unparse doesn't
  preserve any comments in the file. Not sure what we want to do about this.
