Stop accumulating messages after one week of them piling up. This could be because the license has expired, or there's a persistent networking issue.

After one week has elapsed, any future successful connection will trigger a resync. Any messages created after this are ignored, until a resync occurs.

When trying to fetch EC2 metadata, the client no longer follows any HTTP redirects that may be returned. Results are now also truncated if they are over 1024 bytes.
