Allow vm-link-to-virtual-buffers to work when the underlying real folder is a buffer. Part of the problem recorded in Bug 607907. This seems to give rise to further problems with defunct messages in vm-messages-needing-summary-update.

Removed the hacking of vm-virtual-folder-definition, which was replacing folders by file names. This solves the problems of the Bug 607907 and Bug 614413. But it is not clear if something else might break as a result of the change. It needs to be tested over a period of time.
