Fix minor nitpicks

* No extra whitespace at end of lines.

* Typo: confile vs. conffile.

* Changelog messages are full sentences so start them with capital
  letters and end them with full stops.

* Tab vs. space alignment in maintainer scripts so hanging indentation
  works regardless of developer tab width.
