lp:~percona-dev/percona-xtrabackup/safe-slave-backup

Created by Daniel Nichter on 2010-08-06 and last modified on 2010-08-06

This branch adds two new options: --safe-slave-backup and --safe-slave-backup-timeout. The options cause innobackupex to stop the slave SQL thread and wait until Slave_open_temp_tables is zero. The output when it waits is like:

innobackupex-1.5.1:: Slave open temp tables: 1
innobackupex-1.5.1:: Starting slave SQL thread, waiting 3 seconds, then checking Slave_open_temp_tables again (95 attempts remaining)...
>> log scanned up to (0 6975825)
innobackupex-1.5.1:: Slave open temp tables: 0
innobackupex-1.5.1:: Slave is safe to backup
>> log scanned up to (0 6975825)
100806 15:43:29 innobackupex-1.5.1: Starting to lock all tables...
