The impetus for this project was to build an abstraction on top of Vision Egg which would allow a more direct description of an experiment in terms of events, timings (absolute or relative to other events), responses and so forth. The intention is to make it quite trivial to implement experiments in python.

Note that Stim controller is fairly well abstracted from VisionEgg per se, so it could be useful even if you don't want to use VisionEgg.
