Ridiculous amount of work trying to get compilation working on 3.4

There is a *lot* still broken here, as the number of changes is
huge and the changes include things like ob_size going away...
all of the module initialization still needs to be redone and
most of the objects need to be redone with up-to-date 'members'
structures.

2.7 is broken for now, so this isn't a particularly useful branch.
