Captured Deferreds are cancelled if the DeferredValue is set or cancelled. Observed Deferreds are not. Previously DeferredValue was not able to cancel Deferreds being captured, nor was it able to prevent callers from trying to capture or observe multiple Deferreds.

The deprecation warnings are noise right now. It's not clear if we're seeing any warnings about byte/unicode issues, but this is a way to ensure that we can't ignore them if they do occur.
