  Copy background drawing code from libgnome-desktop

  * Gnomebg no longer provides gdkx/x related api. So copy the code here so that it can be used with other unity components.

Unity uses legacy key-grabber code. But since artful unity isn't the
default session anymore and DESKTOP_SESSION changed from ubuntu to unity.
