Would it be better to avoid the use of a contraction here? E.g. "It is safer..."

Thanks for the patch, we really appreciate the improvement to Ubuntu you've contributed! This looks good, so I will approve it. Unfortunately I do not have upload rights, so I will attach a debdiff to the original bug report and assign it to Michael for commit and upload.
