This test doesn't actually ensure the results are limited correctly

If we are given a limit to the number of results to return from a search
query (as the media scanner scope does), actually bother sorting the
results rather than returning them unordered. Retain the old code path
for unlimited queries (as the music app seems to be doing).

If notify_change_start() is called multiple times, don't return an error on the subsequent calls. Instead, increment a counter so we can disable change notification on an equal number of calls to notify_change_stop().
