removing codenarc stuff from build.gradle since it was failing to find the codenarc apply script. Also moving the useAutomaticVersion method into Plugin helper so it's available to all plugins. Lastly improving the revert logic to not try to find the gradle.properties file when it doesn't exist, this should fix bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gradle-release/+bug/1068904
