This is now ready to merge into UA, as the enhancements_core branch has been merged.

Do you want me to keep or drop the backwards compatibility with the old Flickr plugin API?
At the moment, it does a simple detection of whether my part of the API exists, and if it does, it uses it, otherwise, it uses the old API. Now that the API is guaranteed to be in the core version, I probably should remove the backwards compatibility - but maybe someone has a use case which requires the backwards compatibility.
