Thanks for your work on this! It seems like you forwarded this to Debian already (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=684785), which is great. Personally I feel we should first get it into Debian first, then simply sync it, so we don't introduce a delta on the Ubuntu end. For this reason I'll close this merge proposal.
