This proposal has been superseded by a proposal from 2011-10-19.

Description of the change

Backport -m{arch,tune,cpu}=native options from upstream.

I've not tested the backport builds natively, so apologies in advance if this bombs out .... I'll have to download the build and ensure it does the right thing once it's done.
