Removed the unnecessary throbber (only used for long load times). A lot
of tidying up and bug-fixing. Refactored do_start to call start_multi
for lightweight checkouts being converted to heavyweight. This doesn't
work at present, despite the individual commands working.

Initial implementation of reconfigure GUI: this doesn't allow changing
repositories between shared and standalone, nor does it allow switching
between trees and no-trees, but it does allow a simple way to switch
between checkouts, lightweight checkouts and standalone branches.
