Comment 47 for bug 140051

Hardy debs are available for testing, with the two patches from bartman included:

Can someone check that this does indeed address the issue on -amd (and doesn't break anything on non-amd)? If people can confirm it passes on both counts, I'll go ahead and upload it to main.
