Let me also add a *complain* here. Using a widescreen monitor, having the panel on the side (right edge of B in my case) seems natural, but having to hunt for it because the cursor won't stop at the desktop edge makes the arrangement a PITA.

BTW, you can bring windows out of the invisible area by triggering the window menu (Alt+F3 in KDE), selecting 'Move' and holding down the appropriate cursor key on the keyboard.
